iSSO - International Social Studies Olympiad

The International Social Studies Olympiad (iSSO) is an annual national and international competition that promotes student expertise in history, geography, and civics. The iSSO Olympiad syllabus is prescribed by CBSE/ICSE and state boards. The iSSO SilverZone Olympiad evaluates students’ academic talents and helps them improve their decision-making, creative thinking, and critical analysis skills.

Candidates in grades 1 to 10 are eligible to take the exam. Students must complete an application form given to them by school administrators. To complete the registration process, candidates must pay the application fee. Officials provide the answer key on the official website once the exam is completed. Eligibility Criteria for iSSO

The SilverZone Olympiad hosts the International Social Studies Olympiad (iSSO), a competitive social studies exam. To be qualified to take the iSSO SilverZone Olympiad exam, students must meet two basic qualification levels.

The following are two requirements for taking the iSSO exam.

  • The student’s school must be accredited by any Indian recognised board, such as CBSE or ICSE.
  • Students must be studying in Classes 1 to 10

Registration for iSSO

The SilverZone Foundation only accepts student registrations from schools. A student’s school must be enrolled with SilverZone in order for them to compete in the iSSO Olympiad. In addition, schools must register for the SilverZone Olympiad by sending an email.

Throughout the process, school coordinators are responsible for submitting SilverZone’s four registration forms. On the official website, there are links to the application forms. The application form can be downloaded from the official website by registrants.

The following are the iSSO registration fees for both domestic and international students:

  • For students from schools in India, the application fee is INR 125.
  • For students from schools outside India, the application fee is USD 8.

Exam Pattern for SilverZone iSSO 2022-2023

Students who plan to take the iSSO exam should be familiar with the exam format. Depending on the class, the number of questions and difficulty level may vary. Candidates can consult the exam pattern listed below or SilverZone iSSO:

  • Exam Duration: The exam will last for 60 minutes.
  • Exam Mode: The exam is administered in a paper-and-pencil format.
  • The exam consists of multiple-choice questions.
  • Number of Sections: The exam is divided into two sections: Social Studies and Scholar’s Zone.
  • Candidates will receive 2 points for each correct answer in the Social Studies and 4 points in the Scholar’s Zone subject, with no negative marking in the examination.

iSSO Admit Card

iSSO admit cards can be downloaded from the official website by registered candidates. Students who have applied can get their admit cards by filling out the details.

The following are the details of the iSSO admit card:

  • 2 to 3 weeks prior to the examination, the associated schools will receive their hall ticket/admit card.
  • The iSSO 2022 admit card will be sent to the appropriate schools after the official release from SilverZone.
  • The student’s name, father’s/mother’s name, session, date, and other information will be included on the admit cards, as well as the SilverZone’s rules and regulations.

iSSO Result

The results of the iSSO will be published on the official website. Candidates must check their iSSO results on the official website. Following the announcement of the results, the candidates will be awarded based on their ranking. A symbolic Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal will be awarded to the top three rank holders in the iSSO exam. The first-place finisher in each class will receive a cash prize of Rs. 15000/- and a trophy. Prizes are distributed differently depending on the candidate’s rank.
